I grew up in South Korea and earned my B.S. and M.S. in Bioengineering from Inha University. My previous research focused on liposomal nanotechnology and cancer therapeutics using lipid nanoparticles. During my Ph.D., I became interested in developing immunotherapeutics through cell engineering. Under the co-mentorship of Dr. Wendell Lim, my goal is to systematically map the network of cells, cytokines, chemokines, and molecules within the tumor microenvironment. Outside the lab, I enjoy running around the Bay Area, working out at the gym, and meal prepping. By the time I graduate, I aim to achieve 20 pull-ups along with my doctoral degree!
